Background

The importance of building structures that will hold out cannot be stressed enough, and it is the job of engineers to ensure that these constructs do not fail. Previously we examined different truss types, connections and failure loads. We investigated causes for bridge failure, which is why we choose to research three bridge collapses that happened around the world. Our previous experience with constructing and testing various models of bridges gives us some insight into this project, and enables us to explore the subject in depth.
